A slowboat was an ancient type of interstellar vessel, presumably slower-than-light.
These types of ships were used long before the Hiatus to colonize planets. One was supposedly used to colonize Kostroma (planet) in 3247 CE (2706 Anno Hejira). They were very cramped.1:2
