RCS Lucretius was a battleship in the Republic of Cinnabar Navy. She was built before Corder Leary was born. She served as a guardship on Plenty for over ten years, and around 5144 CE she was brought back to Cinnabar and stripped for a hulk.
When she left service, the hulk was renamed the Hope, ironically, since it was used to hold spacers in jail-like conditions. The inmates called her the Hopeless.
In 5149 CE, Daniel Leary had to recover most of his crew from the Hope to man RCS Princess Cecile on her expidition to Ganpat's Reach.5:2
